You can try www.sparkpeople.com
They have a maintenance program and a healthy way to lose weight.
You type in how much you want to lose (or your info for maintenance) and by dates etc...and they plan out your meals so you can achieve your goal. They have a calorie counter and everything. Plus they give you a fitness plan according to what type of exercising you like to do. The exercises can be done at home like dumbells, resistance bands & ball. They also have demos for strength exercises. You will like it. You can also choose from walking, jogging,or a home video. There's many different options. It's like having a nutritionist and it is free. You also have support from the members. A real neat site. I'm quite impressed.
Enjoy!
God Bless!

Well to lose weight you have to consider a lot of things first off how much exercise do you get? Inorder to lose weight your amount being used while exercising must surpass what you are eating and what you may consider to be healthy may really not for example egg omelete is high in cholesterol and really is not healthy at all on top of this even if a food maybe healthy it is only as healthy as it's being prepared so if you use oil salt mayo those are all things that can change the nutrition levels. Also there is studies that say now it just could be a hereditary thing. So if your whole family is overweight it could be that too. You could check with a doctor and a nutritionist to get the best results the worst things to do would go on a crazy diet. I hope this helps

You have to set a realistic goal. I started back in March of last year with the goal of a pound a week. Its fast enough to see results, but slow enough you really dont gain it back.
The way I did it.. I counted calories. I hated the idea and didnt want to do it.. but in the end its the only thing that worked. I based it off of a 2000 calorie day. Most trainers I talked to say you have to cut out about 500 below what your body burns to lose weight. So that meant eating about 1500 cals a day.
Its very hard at first especially since I am prone to fast food for meals. I found a website that lists the calorie counts for most fast food places as well as many others restuarants this helped a great deal.
www.calorieking.com/foods
As far as counting I have a desk calendar and every night I wrote down the food i ate and looked up the calories. I basically made it into a game to see if I could beat the calorie count from teh previous day. I also weighted in once a week on Friday and wrote down the number.
As far as exercise it helps a great deal and the motivation when you are counting calories to do it is that the calories you burn off can be taken away from your daily calories that you ate. So if you eat 1800 calories but burn off 300 you are still right on track at 1500c.. on the days I had to eat more cause i was hungry.. I just exercised to burn off the extra.
I wont lie its a huge change and its gonna be painful at first.. but hang in there it can work if you work at it.
Good luck!

I know how hard it is when you're a mom with an infant (I have 2 sons). First you need to make sure you are getting adequate rest. If you try to exercise on top of being sleep deprived you will just harm yourself and slow your metabolism.
Take a look at your diet? Are you eating often enough? Are you eating plenty of lean protein and complex carbs? How about water? You should be drinking at least 64oz a day.
As far as exercise, walking is a great start. There are also DVDs you can get that show you how to workout with your baby.
If you need more structure consider hiring a personal trainer. We're great for keeping you motivated and giving you fresh alternatives. If you can't get to a gym try an Online program: http://www.getubuff.com/

Get yourself an exercise bike and a couple of small weights and a fit ball. You could do so many exercises in the home, as long as you get that heart rate up for a minimum 20-30 mins per day (and we can all find that kind of time) you will be on your way!
You will find that once you start exercising you wont be as tired and you will have new found energy!
Goodluck!

You'll never do it if you keep making excuses. I'm sure she does keep you busy, but you can do aerobics videos in your own home and just pause them if you need to clean up after her or what not. Also, the tired thing... you will find that exercising gives you energy, you'll feel better about yourself and find more time for it. You need to not forget that you're a priority as much as your daughter. If you dont take care of yourself, who will take care of her?

If you find the time to eat...then that's the time to diet. Watch your intake. Reduce fat and calories from the meals you do eat. Do not skip meals. Reduce portion size. Eat healthier foods when you do eat like fresh fruits and veggies. Stick to leaner meats and fish.

If you can't go to a gym, you can go out for walks (push the stroller), get a bike with a baby carrier attached, or get DVD workouts to do at home. This way you can do it at your convinience when you have time.
