Apply those same words to one who is about to be hopelessly trapped inside a building that's on fire.
Is it really a threat? Mind control?
No. A warning.

If you don't believe, then it is not mind control. If you feel uncomfortable by the thought of hell, then perhaps the Holy Spirit is working in your life. If it takes fear to bring you to the Savior, then so be it. Some people are drawn to God by His love. If a Christian tell you about hell and you respond with,"what a nut case" then find yourself hours or days later thinking about hell, that is the Holy Spirit trying to reach you. Why, because God doesn't want anyone going there and will cause you to think about it. You in turn blame Christians for always talking about hell, when really it is the Spirit of God. Better to be drawn by the Love of God.

Not believing in God won't send you to a place where you will "burn". It will separate you from God. Isn't that what you want? To believe in no God or to be separated from Him. It's your choice.

"No dear...it's a choice." If you say NO to Jesus, you will suffer for eternity in hell. Thats is some choice. It is mind control. Your entire life is to be run by the rules of your religion. At least Christians are not extreme and let us live in peace. They dont tell you to convert or die. Unlike some other religion i wont mention.

Don't you like to be warned what might happen. What do you want him to say please stop it. He is not your daddy or mummy He is the Almighty God He can say as he pleases. You know Jesus is not the first prophet or the last. Many warning has come from god. Do you know that there is more the 100,000 prophets sent for mankind. Step by step, but most don't know.

Choose you this day whom you will serve.
Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Whether you like it or not.
He is the Creator who made you. If you had children and they completely turned their backs on you, denied you were their parent regardless of how good you were to them, what would you do? God is willing that none should perish but all to come to repentance. It is your own choice that sends you to the lake of fire when you choose to go against your Creator.

Neither. No matter how much I believe I can do it, I still burn popcorn in the microwave. It stinks. I never learn.

If you kill someone you could forfeit your own life.. Is that mind control. Generally obey the law or else. You could call it behavior control but mind control... You are out of line... Jim

No. No one will 'burn' because they don't believe. You go to hell because you have broken the Law. It's that simple.
If you jump out of an airplane without a parachute, you don't die because you don't believe in parachutes, you die because you tried to transgress the law of gravity.
