Different religions are having a hard time getting along with each other. Muslims think Christians are going to hell, Christians think Muslims are going to hell, Hindus think we are comming back as a cow or hummingbird. Worshipers of Poseidon thought we must appease the Sea God with burnt offerings.....

Question:
Isn't it time that we learn to respect everyone's superstitions?

Isn't it time that Christians, Muslims, Alchemists, Sorcerers, Witches and Followers of Ra The Sun God, all join hands and share their superstitions with each other?

well not everybody wants to share other peoples religious beliefs but we should at least respect eachother and their freedom to believe whatever they choose to believe if people respected eachother more the world would be a more peaceful place

I am a christian and I do not pretend to know who will burn in hell, sir. Not even would I judge whether you will go to Hell or not...although I have some suspicions. Anyway, the scene you have placed before the good people on this forum is ridiculous at best as many of these religions are completely polar in their beliefs. And none seem willing to compromise, nor should they. Regardless of the religion you are or are not, you should either jump in it with both feet or leave it altogether. It is better to be Hot or Cold than Lukewarm.

Well, I'm not sure that joining hands is a good idea. After all, some people do unclean things with their hands and don't wash often enough.

I do think that if God created all men, then he created them as they are with their various beliefs and it is probably not a good idea to criticize his handiwork. I suppose that those that do will find out what He thinks of it when they try to cross the Styx, enter the Pearly Gates or whatever.

...no.

all religions are united in that they depend on a God to fufill thier needs.
If Christians prayed ferventely 5 times a day like Muslims... the world would be a lot better.

Sorry if that sounds stereotypical.

Jesus didn't come to start a religion anyway, he came to save people from eternal torment :\

Yeah, I can see it now: a world where every once respects all the known superstitions. Breaking mirrors will be a crime punishable by death. The entire world will shut down on Sundays and Saturdays (and Fridays?) to respect all the known Sabbaths. No one will eat beef because all cows will be considered sacred. You can see where I'm going with this.

Somehow I think you might be the last person qualified to talk about respecting people different from you. Just a scan of your question history is enough to convince anyone of your hostilities.

It would be wise to accept others' views, but it is hard to respect extremists' views. When they are killing themselves and Americans every day, I have a hard time accepting that without a fully automatic weapon.

Ease up on the assumption machine there!

Christians are not to judge the souls of others, we can debate, we can follow different paths, but we are human and cannot judge the soul of anyone else, Christian or not.

Peace!

never happen. they are having too much fun with blasphemous acts such as killing eachother and anyone else who's different...if you take murder away from the religious freaks (before you grab a rope check YOUR history) and they won't have a reason to live..... hmmmm I like that.. lets take that AWAY from them!
