Jedi path does have it's roots in the mind of George Lucas. How ever, it's a reflection of several different religions we know have.

You take the " active defense against evil " stance of Islam. The " peace with one self and the universe " of Buddha. The " Permissible use of magick " of Wicca. There you have the Jedi path. A series of faiths plucked from existing ones and wrapped up in a convenient modern-day packaging, all focused on an indescriminant deity called " The Force ". It's more of a philosophy than a religion, but just as valid as any other.

Best wishes.

Judaism is an ancient religion that "belongs" to the Hebrew people.

Jedi is a... religion? philosophy? ...that was inspired by the Star Wars movies. It has enough followers that it has actually shown up in census statistics in Canada and the UK.

LOL! You're getting, as you put it, "Jedi-ism" confused with Judaism. Yes, Jedis have to do with Star Wars. Judaism is the religion of those who are Jewish. Thanks for the giggle. :-)

I went to Darth Vader's Bar Mitzvah. Needless to say, it was totally badass: he started reading from the Torah then busted out his lightsaber and lit up his entire extended family.
