tall silver candleabras w/ faux jewels sprinkled on the table.
tuck a pecock feather in ea. napkin w/ a famous quote from the days of masquerade balls attached w/ ribbon. on the other side of the quote/note write the person's name as a place card.
hope this helps :D

Before I opened your question - I was thinking feathers, lol. Masquerade masks often have white feathers on them - I would do a centerpiece in white feathers with black and silver masks set into them. Here are a few ideas:)

Another idea is a white feather wreath on the table with a black candle in the center and then add a masquerade mask to the centerpiece for a final touch

Our wedding centerpieces were 6 inch diameter fish bowls with silver rocks and a single goldfish in them. They were filled about half-full and had a single floating candle in each fish bowl. A silver ribbon was tied around the mouth of the bowl.
They sound odd, but they were very pretty and everyone liked them. I don't know if this helps, but it's an idea.

I like the ideas posted about maks on sticks in the center. But I am also thinking of pearls. You could get long strands of fake pearls and pile them loosely around the base of a vase with masks or better yet a very tall silver candleabra with tall white candles. You can also find great plastic fake giant jewels to throw in too. Maybe in black to offset the light pearls. Pearls and silver and dim mood lighting...maybe add gold for depth of texture...those are my first thoughts. I'll repost if I think of anything else. Have fun!!!

I would get a pot, candle holder, or vase (something deep) fill it with sand. On the outside glue beads around it. On the inside place masks with the sticks in the sand add gold, purple or green onion grass spray and a few gold, purple and/or green feathers. I would then place beads, sequins or ribbon on top of the sand to cover it up.
If the stick sticks out of the sand I would wrap ribbon in all three colors to decorate the stick too.

check out places that carry Mardi Gra supplies...
i saw someone suggest to get masks on sticks and make them into a centerpiece.....enough for everyone at each table...then when the party gets started they can use the masks on the table...

Make masks for everyone and put them on the table, it will actually save you some money and it will be fun as well.

relies upon on how vast. I did a coastline-topic social gathering and used dishes of small shells and sand and positioned votive holders and candles down in them. even as the lighting fixtures were down and the candles were lit the shells glowed and they were eye-catching.
