Read the book "It Is Called a Break-up Because It Is Broken." I read this book and "He Is Just Not That Into You." Both of these books have simple advice we all already know, but sometimes it helps us get over something when someone else can tell us. Plus, both of these books are really funny and helped me when I was going through a difficult time in my life. Try and get out and meet people without the intention of dating. Maybe you just need time for yourself without dating or being in a relationship. When you are dating people you are always going to be comparing them to your ex in the back of your mind. Thus, if you just try to meet friend you can take the pressure off yourself and just get to know people on a fun level. Also, you never know when you will meet the next person that could be your sould mate.

when you love someone, those feelings never go away easily. things take time. the more you move on, the more you will stop feeling the way you do about him. and unfortunately, sometimes those feelings don't go away. I have been in love with a guy for six years, everytime i think about him, i still feel the same way i did the day we broke up. even though i have dated and moved on and had other relationships, his name is still written on my heart. and the only thing i can do is continue moving forward. and let my feelings subside on their own. and you have to do the same. it wont change overnight, but someday it will. and i know it seems like hell because you want that person, you long for their kiss, their phone call, their hugs, you want them to love you again. but you have to live by the words" this too shall pass" and know that you arent experiencing this for no reason. everything has a season and a reason. when youre over him, you will know it. just hang in there. and dont be afraid to let go. tell him how you feel and move on. if he feels the same way, then go from there. but if he doesnt, then you know what else you have to do. but just to give you some hope.... my ex admitted to me on thanksgiving that he still cared about me too. so maybe yours still has feelings for you as well.....

Just keep on trying to move on. Like Charlotte said in Sex in the City...it takes half the time that you were dating to get over the guy....if you dated him for a year give yourself 6 months.
And maybe dating isn't working. Just try to have fun and go out w/ friends! You're young, and free and single! Live it up, baby!

Time, in time everything passes.
Keeping busy is most importent don't give yourself the time to think about it. Take on more hours at your job or even start a new hobby. Absolute 0 communication is needed
This is a question that most people already know the answer to, people just don't like it...

I don't know what the situation was for the breakup--if it is on his part--then you should focus on that. Remember, things happen for a reason, but dwelling on the past does nothing for nobody. Think of your future an focus on that--whether its with him or not. You need to focus on you and what is best for you. And in the end if it is meant to be, then it will be. In the meantime the only cure for love unrequited i have for women is lots of chocolate and lots of sappy movies :) Good Luck!

I don't think you ever get over those kind of feelings. They just get less painful with time.
