Dear JC: It is sometimes called, "quickening." The energy inside the body "quickens", causing the body to tremble and shake.
That is a direct experience of the Holy Spirit within you. He is giving to you - an experience of His Presence. It is given you in love, and the experiences you have of His Presence are meant to solidify your Knowing of something you cannot "see" through human eyes. The Divine Presence is acknowledged by YOU and your Trust is strengthened - within the Truth of the Divine Presence.
Thank the Holy Spirit for making Himself "felt" in you, and giving to you an experience that cannot be taken away from you.
Best regards, Lana

Yes....in prayer and in worship. God has shown me why this happens, and many understand this as well. It can be good or bad. If evil is trying to leave you, it can cause this too. And, also if you are so into prayer and just one with God,shutting out all else, and He begins to speak to you, and gives you new revelation, sometimes you will shake. or even twitch. Many not aware of the meaning of this, say its just evil. No , it is not. and unless you have ever experienced it and then had God so open your eyes to new truths, you just dont know. Its just a manifestation of the spirit, be it good or evil. And how do we know? WE check out all things according to Gods word. Did it lead to good or bad? Check it out and you will know, and once you are so one with God, you just know. Often as God is teaching you, He is removing some stumbling block from your mind to let the new information in, and this causes shaking. YOu are being delivered. Great question, anxious to see the answers....

Like the crazies you see on tv fainting in the isles? Or some preacher slapping someone on the forehead and all of the sudden they are saved and flailing all over the place. It must be magic! Either that or a epilepsy episode.

I've shaken when I made love. I've shaken when I play my guitar. I am still at the silent grandure of a mountain. Aww and inspiration come from all things.

No, I don't believe in God. However, I have seen people shake while praying or whatever. I don't think its something to aim for.

I 'sway' sometimes anytime when I feel the presence of God. I know pastors who do that too.

It means nothing. Your body can have this affect for a number of reasons. Perhaps you were fighting off an illness. Perhaps you psyched yourself into it.
