yes, a freind of my mom's at church had this happen, she was carying twins and misscaried one, the other is alive and well.

first of all, has your MD given you any indication that there are any problems thus far with your pregnancy? If so, what exactly?
Like many others have said, it is possible for a fetus to die at any stage of developement. But it is more possible for everything to be just fine. Dont' stress about what 'might' happen until a problem presents itself. Even then, depending on the problem, modern science has created many possible interventions that produce good outcomes (which I personally see everyday). Stressing out is not good for ANYONE, including expecting Mom's. You body already has certain amount of stress that is normal with any pregnancy, due to the fact of fluctating hormones, water retention, increased caloric needs, etc... Try not to add to that unless you have been given a reason to worry. Make and keep all of your prenatal appointments, take your prenatal vitamins, make healthy choices.
Congrats on the twins by the way. Babies are a true blessing.

Yes, there's a thing called Vanishing Twin Syndrome where twins are concieved but one dies and is absorbed by the other baby early in the pregnancy.

Yes - a friend of mine was carrying twins, and she lost one of them at about 4 months into the pregnancy. The other one is still OK.
Go to your doctor; and I pray that this is not the case with your babies.

It is very possible for a twin to die, both before and after birth.

Yes, there are a lot of cases where one twin has died in the womb and one survived. If it is early in the pregnancy and they are identical, then one may absorb the other. If they are fraternal, I think there is a chance of developing a molar pregnancy.

Yes.. I know of a few people it has happened to. One of my best friends was a twin...his mom lost his twin when she was 5 months along.

Yes, it's possible to be carrying twins and have one die in-utero. I have a friend who was supposed to have identical twins, but one died due to twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome. It can happen to identicals and fraternals alike.
Try to be a TAD more sensitive, people.

yes it is possible death knows no age gender whatever my son is a twin and his twin died before birth so yes it is possible he is 9 years old now a good friend of mine also lost her son at 13 months old to cancer while his twin now 13 is strong and into sports

Why wouldn't it be? I don't think I understand the question because it makes no sense to me. Of course one of the twins could die, unless they are superheros or something. Everyone dies.

Hi my name is Maxine too!!!!!! Maxine Lee to be exact......anyway yes this can happen it happened to a friend of mine, one twin died and the other lived. But dont worry about it unless the doctor knows of some type of complications with your pregnancy.
