Let it melt on its own, those metal food dishes are not made to be heated on stoves, i once used one to cook in my BBQ, and it turned all kinds of colors, which also release a fume, probably not good to eat out of it after that. I threw my bowl away

Run some hot water in the sink and hold the metal bowl in the water for a bit. Hopefully this will melt it enough so that you can put the food in a microwave safe container. Good luck. Oops, too late. Just repeated the last answer.

nope, it's not the right kind of metal, my dog has one too. fill the bottom of your sink with very hot water until you can place the food bowl in it without the water going over the edges into the food and wait a little while. you should be able to get it just warm enough to put the food in a pan, or a microwave safe dish and heat it that way.

just like Liz S said I would put the food pan in some very Hot water and let it sit in there for awhile and then when food unthaws a little bit then remove the food out of the pan and put it in a microwave safe bowl and heat it up that way,,, I know you can get a bowl that is made to stay out side without freezing you can get them at Petco or Pet Smart,, it is like a thurmos that will keep the food and water from freezing,,, I hope this helps and keep an eye on your dogs food and water every so often to make sure its not frozen that causes dehydration in the winter months I have alot of out side dogs and im glad they make that bowl that i just got cause it keeps me in pease of mind that if they are thirsty they can get a drink and if they are hungery they can eat without both water and food being froze,,,

Try to get it out of the metal bowl and put it in one you can microwave! My suggestion would be to let it thaw out....in the mean time, feed her some new food, and put it in a microwave safe bowl, warm it up that way. Then when the other thaws out you can give that to her. By then, it will probably be time to feed her again.

Hot water seems to be the best answer. You could see if you have a pot big enough to hold the dish, and get some water to a slow boil, and carefully put the dish in until it warms up. If you don't have a bowl big enough, use the hot water in the sink. Good luck!

if you have a pan big enough to set the bowl in fill the pan with hot water, put the bowl in the water (careful not to overfill the pan) and let it sit in the hot water. Check to be sure that the water does not get cold. If it does, add fresh hot water and reinsert in bowl until the broth thaws out.

You should put it into a microwave safe bowl and microwave it that way. My answer would be that I wouldnt feed my dog that food. I would give him fresh food, not something thats been sitting outside so long that it froze.

Put it in a bigger bowl of hot water to thaw faster. I'd not do it on the stovetop.

You are going ot start a fire! lol! Why don't you just throw it out and start from scratch? it will be a lot safer. Either that or let it melt on its own, but I am not sure how good the food will be if left out for an extended period of time.
