There's this guy friend I was kinda crushin on. It turns out he's already in a serious long-distance relationship. But sometimes he can be a little flirtatious with me and other girls.

Why would you want to have anything to do with this guy? If he dropped his serious long-distance girlfriend and took up with you, he'd still be flirtatious with other girls. The best way of predicting how people are going to treat someone is to look at their past and present behavior. If this guy treats his current girlfriend this way, he's likely to continue the behavior.

If you don't want to have a guy you're in a serious relationship with flirt with other girls, then avoid guys who flirt with other girls while they're in a serious relationship.

There's a side bonus to this: if you avoid flirting with guys who are in a serious relationship with someone else, you get to keep your dignity and your reputation clean. Think on it: while you're flirting with this guy, there may be guys who see you doing it and think the less of you because of it.

There is a couple of things to this. One is the long distance of the relationship. Unless he is madly in love with this girl, he will be looking for someone more convenient.

As far as why guys flirt while in relationships, for me it helps me to practice my game. I like to keep my wife interested and many times I use flirting with her to keep things fun. To do this, I'll talk with friends and flirt a bit with them. I make real sure that is all I do with the friends.

I am not exactly sure. sometimes they may be testing the waters to find a new fish!! and then sometimes being flirtatious is simply a part of their personality. they may not mean to come off as trying to hook up but they do. Boys and egos are a pair for questioning. flirting may make him feel good. he might just see it as being friendly. but you know what they say........ when the cat's away, the mice will play...........

we do that just so we know that we can still have any girl we want. so if we break up with are girl so we wont have to be alone and so guys get flirted with more when there with some one then when there not with anyone at all.

Guys like to think they're all that.maybe he's not getting enough attention from the girl he's with now. Or maybe he just has a big ego and thinks he can have any and every girl he wants. guys?!? LOL :)

unless a couple has had a discussion that lays it out... "I want to be exclusive with you.... " and they have BOTH said this and agree... then even though there is a relationship.... the door is still open for either one can still "flirt".
