Try not to pick at the sores- only makes them worse. Wash your face daily and apply an anti-acne cream. If this doesn't work, then after washing your face, put some rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and apply to the affected area. Rubbing alcohol is very strong tho, so I would only recommend it as a last option. And if all else fails, make an appt. with your doctor who can prescribe prescription strength anti-acne drugs. Good luck.

I had the same problem, for years. It really pissed me off that I should have been more popular, except for the pimples. I am smart and funny, but they just ate away at my self-esteem. I was determined to get rid of them by hook or by crook.
I tried a whole bunch of things like proactive and others but nothing seemed to work. I tried a few different books and ebooks and nothing helped. Then, I read an awesome e-book that will teach you all the home remedies that you will need to get rid of acne permanently. At first I thought it was too expensive, but then I realized that I pay this much like every month for pimple medicine and washes, and this was a one time thing. Best decision I ever made! Not only did it help me stop getting pimples, it also helped clear up my onld pimple scars, which were really pissing me off!
You can learn about the book at this link

I tried some books from my dermatologist, but they didn't help me, plus I kept on forgetting to return them to the library. The best thing about the ebook is that i downloaded it right away, and i had the copy forever.

Well, first off, acne is an immunity and inflammatory deficiency. So, you need to take a good multivitamin without iodine, take omega 3 fatty acid, and alpha lipoic acid, B complex, C and E on top of that and fiber pills with plenty of water.
Try Tea Tree oil. Pure tea tree oil can be found many places, walmart sells it for $7. rub it on your face vigorously after cleansing with a mild sensative skin cleanser like Olay or Dove and use witchhazel as an anticeptic afterwards.
Make sure to use only a 2.5% strength benzoil peroxide, you can get this in the acne free kit sold in target or walmart.
Use only petrolium jelly when you get dry, no moisturizers.
Make sure you use only pH balanced products.
Make sure you NEVER use hair products like gel or hairspray, etc.
change your pillow cases often.
And also try glycolic acid peels once or twice a week. They may work very well for you , but try to find a very high strengh glycolic acid or else it wont do much.
Make sure to remember to take your vitamins and try to resist picking at it.
Good luck.

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.
Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. Tomato slices, turmeric, papaya juices and home made face packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems. More remedies at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html
