No it will not. The ATM machine does not keep pins on record, so if it is not entered correctly, and with the corresponding card, nothing will happen. If you enter it in backwards, it won't give you any money and you'll just have one upset robber to deal with!

That is an old rumor, and it's not true. There actually was a plan afoot in a US state for that to be made law by the banks, until the ATM companies pointed out that palindromic pins (those that read the same both ways, like 1221) would not work. The overenthusiastic lawmakers dropped the idea. So no, it isn't true, your news story is typical Fox journalism. Nor does it work in the UK, Canada, Australia, or any other country.

Can you imagine the logistics of having to respond to that. We would need a huge number of policemen in vehicles just to respond in a timely manner. In addition, it would require that every ATM be networked in some way to police headquarters. How would that be paid for?

no because that could be someone else's #. ex if yours is 1992 . someone else's could be 2991. almost all # are taken.
