Does anybody know a place in lower Connecticut or maybe New York State where I can buy a goose for Christmas? My family is coming from Europe and it's a family tradition to have goose for Christmas.
By the way - I can live without comments from all you grass-eaters and PETA supporters!

You should be able to find them in your local supermarket and if you don't see them inquire in the butcher section and see if they can order it in for you. Also, a regular local butcher should be able to do that too I would think. When I have done goose I found them in the supermarket around the holiday season here in NJ/NY.

Around the holidays any decent sized grocery store will get a few frozen geese in. Even Super Target stocks them. Go to whatever store you go to and ask them if they will be getting them. Usually they will and if not can just order one at the regular price for you....... the purveyors expect someone to ask. Dont forget to include chestnuts in your menu somewhere when serving goose!

The only thing I can think of is ask the butcher at your local market or try a farm.
