Cocaine Hydrochloride was indeed pharmacist John Pemberton's ( the gent who invented the "tonic" in the late 1800's) one ingredient that has been removed and not in the soft drink since 1927........So, yes, in "the old days" CocaCola did indeed have significant quantities of Cocaine Hydrochloride in the original formula........
