If a person says they really like you but you don't like them in the same way it's best to be ALMOST as honest as possible.

This is what I have said before:

Wow. I'm flattered. But I'm sorry, I've only ever seen you as a friend and never more. I would say let's give it a try but I just can't see myself being more than just friends with you. I'm sorry.

Guys hate being ignored, so many of my guy friends say, "I hate it when girls just ignore you, they should just come out and say, 'I DON'T LIKE YOU'." But sometimes it's easier to ignore. If it's someone you don't really know and never really were friends with it's easier to ignore them.

But TRY to be honest and be like, "Listen, I'm sure you're an amazing guy but I'm just not looking for anything right now and there's someone out there far more deserving than me. I'm not at the point in my life right now where I can be fully committed to someone and you seem like a great guy and I don't want to take the chance of breaking your heart." (I used something along those lines one time after ignoring someone and then he asked me what ever happened and I told him that I knew he was a good guy but I just wasn't ready for a good guy yet... Which was true. And now I am and I have a great guy!)

1. Ive been meeting some and need your advice.. (Generally telling him that he is a friend.)

2. I love being single! (You dont like dating)

3. If he said that he likes you.. 'you're great but somehow I seek someone with a different personality and background... May be I dont know what I want.. But so far, Im doing great where I am .. We can be friends... Its always good to get to know someone better" (You're being supportive and yet sorta blaming yourself :P )

Those are my way of saying it...

If someone likes you romantically but you dont like them the same way. Tell them you dont want to ruin the wonderful friendship you have developed with them. Then you can maintain a friendship with them and you dont have to sever the relationship completely.

Tell him/her no, you are not interested in any kind of relationship. Make sure you set boundries, if this person "likes" you there must have been some reason for it. Are you the flirty, touchy, type? Do you always smile around this person? Make it clear that you are not interested.

Sounds like you really want this person to know. Just talk to them and let them know how you feel. Like don't cuss them out, but be upfront. It's a lot easier for ou and them! lol, or just say something crazy like "I wish I didn't have herpes!" Just Kidding, don't say that!

Sit down with him and tell him that you don't like him, be straight up about it, tell him/her why you don't like him/her.
I hate a person and she knows it, but she is a little weird, because she still keep bothering me, but I just don't respond to her anymore.

Why you have to be straight up? Because you make sure that no mistake has a chance to mess everything up, you do not want that...

Good luck...

Honesty is always the best policy. You can be strait up with them without being cruel. The sooner the better. Don't lead this person on.

just say nicely to the guy, "I have no desire to date you." if he still bugs you, tell him that he has to stay away from you until he can look at you without falling in love. i recently went through the same thing with a girl, and eventually i figured out that's what i had to do to get over her.

a lot of times it just depends on the person. sometimes not calling and ignoring their phone calls is simple enough. others you just have to be completely frank with them in a stern way without being mean. others you just have to be mean. just depends on the person that you are dealing with.

Tell them. I had a guy who liked me, I did not like him at all. I told him that I could not see myself with him, and told him that we could be friends that is it.
