We are going to Orlando for Christmas and we were wandering if anybody knew of any cool restaurant like mid-evil times or dinner theaters or anything like that.

Lets see...

Planet Hollywood - Downtown Disney - Inside a globe very cool, but food isn't great

Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville - Universal Citywalk - Cool Place, indoor volcano, lots of cocktails

Nascar Cafe - Universal Citywalk - Cool if you like Nascar, great gift shop

Hard Rock Cafe - Universal - Good food, nice rock n roll theme

Medieval Times - Cool show, you eat with no utencils

Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede - A dinner theater with a juggler and band and a show

Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville at Universal Studios CityWalk
Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Disney
Bahama Breeze on I-Drive

All are great places to go. There is a Medieval Times in Orlando somewhere but I'm not sure where exactly.

Living in Orlando, I have some experience with family dining. One non-obvious dining experience that you should consider is THE SPIRIT OF ALOHA dinner show at Disney's Polynesian Resort. You do NOT have to stay there to get tickets and they can be purchased online. It's all you can eat polynesian, kid-friendly food with beer and wine. The show if fun and VERY different. I consider it more unusual and more fun than the wild-west, medieval type shows here in town. Hope this helps!

Rainforest cafe. It's in Downtown Disney!! It is not a cafe though, very nice!!!! and it has a store connected to it, as well. It's great for kids and adults. The "animals" come alive every 15 minutes and it "rains" and "thunders" in the restaurant. It's really cool if you have never been. Really good food, as well. Enjoy your vacation.
