Another good website is to check out is the Great Dane Club of America (http://www.gdca.org/). They have a list of all the different chapters of Dane clubc across the States. i didn't see one specifically for upstate New York, but I am sure if you e-mail or call the president of the Club, they will point you in the right direction. I once lived there, lol I was born there,and finding a good club for dogs is not that hard.
ask the vet to help you find this club your looking for.
