I read on a website that He did but it was destroyed. I'm uncertain as to the credibility of the site, does anyone have any information on this?

He could have, we just don't have it yet. Either that or :
1) He didn't write anything.
2) Someone is keeping it quiet.

I find it hard to believe that He did not, being the "Word of God".

So it IS an intriguing thought.

I hope that if He did, that it will show up soon, today in fact.

Jesus wrote nothing about Himself or else it would be available just as the written Gospels are, some people will make these empty suggestions to make a name for themselves knowing full well that no-one can really prove different, just like Dan Brown did with his fictional bookJesus did not need to write words for He is the living Word personified.

Jesus most certainly knew how to read and write:

He read and quoted from Jewish holy books and read from the scrolls of Isiaah:

Luke 4:16-17
Chapter 4
(13) And when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from him until an opportune time.
(14) And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee, and a report concerning him went out through all the surrounding country.
(15) And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all.
» (16) And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up; and he went to the synagogue, as his custom was, on the sabbath day. And he stood up to read;
(17) and there was given to him the book of the prophet Isaiah. He opened the book and found the place where it was written,
(18) "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives
and recovering of sight to the blind,
to set at liberty those who are oppressed,
(19) to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord."
(20) And he closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant, and sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him.

He would rarely have had need to write. The only instance in the Gospels is the case of the woman caught in adultery and Jesus mysteriously writes on the ground:

John 8:1-11
Chapter 7
(51) They replied, "Are you from Galilee too? Search and you will see that no prophet is to rise from Galilee."
(52) They went each to his own house,
(53) but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
Chapter 8
» (1) Early in the morning he came again to the temple; all the people came to him, and he sat down and taught them.
(2) The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery, and placing her in the midst
(3) they said to him, "Teacher, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery.
(4) Now in the law Moses commanded us to stone such. What do you say about her?"
(5) This they said to test him, that they might have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground.
(6) And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, "Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her."
(7) And once more he bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground.
(8) But when they heard it, they went away, one by one, beginning with the eldest, and Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him.
(9) Jesus looked up and said to her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?"
(10) She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you; go, and do not sin again."
(11) Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
(12) The Pharisees then said to him, "You are bearing witness to yourself; your testimony is not true."
(13) Jesus answered, "Even if I do bear witness to myself, my testimony is true, for I know whence I have come and whither I am going, but you do not know whence I come or whither I am going.
(14) You judge according to the flesh, I judge no one.

I am unaware of any documented resources of any authenticated writings of Jesus.

I hope this helps.

yes Jesus wrote in the sand to the high priest's. and also the bible is the "inspired word of God". this is written three times in the bible its self. and if you track the word inspired to its Greek meaning it means God breathed. and since Jesus is God he spoke the Bible to all of those that physically wrote it or those that that watch him ; Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John.

He wrote in the dirt. Perhaps metaphorically to represent that space-time and all material means of communication are subject to entropic laws.

That is in dispute. If he did, it's never been proven. Although most historians think that Jesus existed on this planet, there is no actual 'proof', per se.

He wrote in the sand, don't you remember.
He said that he who is without sin cast the first stone, and then wrote in the sand with his finger.
He probably wrote the names of the accusers and the women they had slept with.
