All you can do is just to be there for her and let her know that you care for her. Believe this or not but wonderful people like who truly love their parents and have a tender heart helps me to believe that there may be some hope for our world after all. Bless You.With you beside your mother she will do fine.

Help her with the chores around the house, cooking, cleaning, running errands, those sorts of things. Pamper her a bit if you can and then be there to listen to her if she needs to talk. You might also get some information on ALS so you are informed and can help her with questions that might come up and know what to expect. Be armed with information and a shoulder to cry on. But above all, be supportive with the things she doesn't have time to do or the energy to do, so she knows you appreciate her and understand.

Try not 2 let her b on her own. She may think about it 2 much and become depressed. It happened 2 me when my mum had cancer and had 2 go 4 an operation. Do things 2 surprise her. Make breakfast or dinner, Buy a flower 4 her one day, Help around the house more, talk 2 her and let her know that she is not alone.

You need to be strong for her. Be the best friend to her that you can. Tell her she can talk to you and give her uplifting words of encouragement. Also do things for her you have never done. Be understanding and just pray for the best. Give her your heart and let her know that no matter what your love for her is more than her just being your mother.

You can do your best to help the whole famliy out, because your mom takes care of the famliy. She might need some time to get back on track. She might not ever be the same agian but you just got to be there for her when you can.

When someone close to you passes away it is natural to feel lost. Tell her that you love her and when she is ready to talk you will be there to listen. Also, it may be in her best interest to find time to do some bible studies with a pastor. Death is only temporary, heaven is our goal.

Go over once or twice a week and sit with your stepfather so she can go to a movie or take a walk or something she enjoys to get some time to herself.

While you're there you could vacuum or clean the bathrooms or whatever.

Just being there helps alot. Also, doing things to keep the house up and running removes a major burden from her.
