I am looking to buy a pomeranian puppy, purebred, preferably one color...like all white, black or tan. But they seem soo expensive at the small pet stores in the mall. Where can I find a pomeranian puppy thats not like $1500?

I recommend going to a reputable breeder to find one.
Why pay so much for a pet store dog, that will look nothing like the breed when they grow up, normally will be 2x the standard in weight, and come from puppy brokers who buy from puppy mills.
Not to mention many have health problems.
Same goes for dogs in the paper, many are from people who just breed their two pets together, not knowing anything and their dogs look nothing like what I am sure you want your Pom to look like.
Sorry pet stores just irk me, with the awful things that happen to the puppies parents and how little they care about dog breeds.

I show and breed Poms, and my pets are never over 1g and they always have aleast a Ch sire. And I test both parents for health defects, etc before I breed them. And guarantee there health, which no pet store will do.
From a reputable show breeder the normal cost is $500-$1,000
depending on where you live.
This is normally due to the vet costs of the area, since Poms are prone to needing c-sections and where I live they cost 2gs, VS where one of my breeder friend lives they cost her $300.
So of course she asks a lot less than I.

The best place to look for a Pom is the APC's list of members.

Click on your state, and find someone in your state and contact them.
They might not have what you want, but might know another breeder who isn't a member who does.
Here is a link to Pom rescues all over the US

And if you go here
http://www.infodog.com/showinfo/state.htm
You can find local shows in your area and meet the Pom breeders and see who has anything for sale or upcoming.

Just remember not all who are show are reputable, but that is very very few. Just make sure to check them out and you feel comfortable with the way they raise their dogs.
A reputable breeder will NOT sell during the Christmas season, so you will have to wait till Jan.

Feel free to email me if you want with your state and I can recommend a breeder I actually know in your state who has quality Poms.

Try from a reputable breeder... although you are still going to pay 1500 +... small dogs like poms and chiauaua's are often found in puppy mills. Try the SPCA in your area or the poarainian rescus organization...http://www.nwpomrescue.com/
or http://adopt-a-small-dog.1-800-save-a-pet.com/ or http://pomeranian-rescue.org/

Hi,
There are loads of Poms on here ... probably not as much as $1,500 ... though some of them are young, they may be a little bigger than puppy size:

You could try these sites for breeders near you though I'm not sure what the prices are:

Good luck

There are MILLIONS of homeless dogs sitting in shelters right now. 1 in 4 dogs in a shelter is purebred. Out of 6-8 MILLION dogs that enter shelters every year, 70-75% are EUTHANIZED.

Please consider adopting ... it saves lives, and is definitely not $1500.
Visit www.petfinder.com to search for a pom.

there's tons of sites you can get puppies from. For example, petfinder.com, or the S.P.C.A might be able to help. For more info, ask your vet and maybe he'll find a good breeder for you.
(they are sooo cute!)

I have found that if you ask your vet, he can help you find a dog cheep.
someone out there can give you a break on cost.
