If there were undeniable proof of something, it would not be a matter of me believing it, but of adding it to my collection of knowledge. I would accept that a supreme creator planted us here, but it would certainly not mean that any of the God religions are correct. Religion is created by humans.

Of course it would make me re-consider many 'known' facts. However, every theory that has emerged through the ages has a hard time making that transition to 'proof'. Besides, theories and 'proofs' (including religious ones) are simply our ways of preceiving the world. Doesn't help that you can cite millions of pieces of supporting evidence but all it takes is one shred of conflict to toss that 'proof' out of the window.
What I'm trying to say is, even if you feel you have found proof, it's only the beginning. You will have to spend years, even beyond your own lifetime, to build your case. AND, after that, you have to try to convince the world. And remember that most of the world does not want to be convinced - they'd rather keep right on believing what they're comfortable with. Any evangelist or scientist alike will face the same challenge.
Having your set of proof will no doubt set many minds thinking, but be prepared for a very hard fight, no matter how watertight you think that proof might be. Just look at Copernicus and his predecessors.
I, for one, would love to see how a fable-like (not to mention adapted, adjusted, selective and one-time politically useful) account like Genesis could ever be proven to be true. I'm only being half-sarcastic here. The day someone proves the Genesis story with cold, hard, irrefutable facts that have nothing to do with 'faith' or convenient interpretation will be one hell of a day, pardon the pun. The Bible, is after all, a VERY, VERY abridged version of Hebrew and post-Christ scripture, including various versions of the creation and first-man-and-woman (or should I say, women) story.

Obviously it'd lead to a belief in a deity. However, I'd still be left curious over which deity it is. While Jews, Christians and Muslims all profess to follow YHVH, their descriptions of him are all contradictory. That doesn't even address either the possibility that Creation was done by another deity or an entire pantheon.
Ultimately, not much would change really for me because even accepting the existence of *A* deity of some sort, I'd still know nothing more.

Some people wouldn't accept the proof, and those who did would argue over which deity created the Earth. It's human nature to disagree over religious beliefs. Even things that are classed as scientific fact are disputed by people because they don't mesh with their religious beliefs.

What answer are you looking for Because if I turned the question around on you and said there is no God at all, you'd respond that nothing can shake your "faith". So really, what exactly is the answer you wish to hear? More importantly, why do you need to hear it? To validate your beliefs? I myself question everything, therefore it would not effect my life.

What if I could prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is NO god? How would it impact you, would you accept the reality or go on believing what you want to believe?

i supposed id react the same way as if i found out that "the odessy" was true. id have to rethink everything i thought i knew about the universe. but still, there are way too many inconsistancies in the book of genesis for it to be true, and there is no way it will ever be proven true.

I am an agnostic theist. I affirm an inability to know about the non-existence of a deity or deities. That is I affirm an inability to prove that Allah, Jesus, Buddha, Yahweh, Siva, Krishna, Brahma, Vishnu, Marduk, Isis, Osiris or any other deity or deities you might like to mention do not exist as claimed by those who have faith. I do not allow myself to become caught up in a debate about proof of the existence or non existence of a deity or deities because my position is that I do not know. I affirm an inability to know about the non-existence of a deity or deities; and I claim that this inability along with a desire to happy and healthy leads me to believe in the one possibility out of all possibilities that enables me to have the highest esteem of self and world that I can possibly imagine.
I believe having the highest esteem of self and world that I can possibly imagine involves affirming a belief in a divine eternal essence of self and world I call soul and spirit. I believe spirit is an infinity divinity eternally one and as such a hidden mysterious Mother God. Spirit creates an infinite body of large universes of the correct kind to support living infernal fractal entities. Father Love is our manifest obvious discovered universe and the rest of an infinite seed body of large universes of the correct kind to support living infernal fractal entities. Life forms when divine eternal soul spirit merges with fractal infernal temporal seed body. Mother God and Father Love join to create Soul Children: an infinite number of finite creatures created in the image of an infinite creator each endowed with a fractal infernal temporal seed body and a divine eternal soul spirit. I think, believe and expect that we are soul children, divine and eternal ordering chaos of minds enjoying entertainment derived from bodies that live and die.

I guess give me the proof first and we can go from there. No point in speculating about what would happen because I do not know what would happen.

if you dont want stupid answers dont ask stupid questions. You cant change the fact that it cant be proven.
You also surely know the answer to this question for yourself. If creation were true then at least one God exists.....
So why bother asking?
