okay well i have this sore, blister on my mouth and i have been putting Oragel and another medicine that starts with a G. They really havent been helping. I went to the doctors and they said that it was my virus coming out of my system .... this has caused me to have a fat lip! I cant even move my mouth or talk! =[ Okay, well tomorrow i have a big party i cant miss and im gonna look like a mess. The blister/sore is on the bottom of my lip. Like right in the middle. How can i make it go away or make it not noticable? Please Help Me!! Please!!?!??!?!?!?!

you have a common cold sore, caused by a herpes virus.
The best treatment for it available over the counter is called Abreva. It's a bit pricey, but it does work. Unfortunately, there is no way that sore is going to be gone, but it may be less noticeable if you start treatment with the Abreva today.

Ok, that's a cold sore. I've had lots of experience with them. You can't really do much about them after they've gotten all big and gross; you're going to have to just wait it out.
For reoccurances, there are prescription medications like Denavir and Zovirax which are awesome, but you have to start using them as soon as you start feeling it. Once it gets bad, they'll maybe just relieve the pain and that's it.
For now, I'd recommend just taking some Tylenol or aspirin if it hurts and I dunno, put some makeup over the blister for your party or just explain to people what it is. Don't pick at it and just treat it like any wound. Keep it clean and maybe put some Neosporin or something on it.

I got identified with genital herpes (type 2) about six yrs ago, when I was still attending college and had a silly one-night stand. if your doctor told you it was a virus, then its going to take a few days to get out of your system. your oing to just explane to people that , you have a virus on your lip.

Just try putting moisterizer on it first, then some make-up concealer that blends with your skin shade.

Ask your doctor about Valtrex. It works pretty fast and makes it go away quicker.
