I'm a devout believer in Christ, but I've never had personal experience with this, and I'll admit that it freaks me out. I have seen God work miracles and I believe in spiritual gifts, but I'm rather suspicious on this one. What do you know and think about it?

It is based on bizarre, emotional experiences -- really on the fringe. People do the oddest things. There was a church in Toronto that specialized in the holy laughter, with people laughing hysterically, falling out of their seats, rolling on the floors, jumping up and down, fainting -- you name it.

One of the ministers had a "left leg annointing" where she would kick up her left leg and yell, "More, Jesus!" and people who were in front of her would faint from "the power". They were investigated and found to be fraudulent. Here is some information about them, attached.

But, basically, they are emotional people who crave that sort of wild experience. Best to stay away from them.
