WE all know that according to the Scriptures we have all sinned and will continue to sin. But if your a true christian you can understand that Jesus would not kill in self defense! But You or I would kill to save our own lives, Which is the most common response to such a threat. So why do we, as a predominantly christian country, Kill and murder people who are not a threat to our lives but maybe to our way of LIFE. From recent responses people would have me to believe the LORD ordered it so! Please don't get caught up on the last sentence, Answer the entire ???? THk YOU, HELP A BROTHA UNDERSTAND WHY WE MUST KILL.

Read in the Gospels where Jesus gave his disciples a sword when he sent them out two by two - it was for protection and defense. Murder is premeditate. It is different to fighting for ones right or defending ones self.

We are to kill in defense of ourselves,family, and freedom, BUT we are not to kill if we are threatened because of our faith. In other words, if someone holds a gun to your head and demands that you renounce Jesus, you can't kill them because Christ needs no defense.

the THOU SHALT NOT KILL has a different meaning than most think, it meant not to murder, in Bible times. much reserarch has gone into this. for years.......
God doesnt want us to go out and kill anyone. Only He is to give life or take it. But, if someone is trying to kill us, we do have the right to self defesne. thats not murder, even in the courts. Its self defense. Andyes, we arent to go out and kill even in war, unless God shows us. When other religions in other countries tell us they want all killed that arent like them and that we will be forced, ALL OF US< EVEN NON BELIEVERS.. will be forced to worship their god, this is a big deal to God. EVen in the Bible, God called men to war for different reasons. Not just to murder for no reason, but to stop certain ppl from taking over that would lead to the destruction of other ppl. God doesnt want us to be doormats to anyone. But we dont go out and kill someone just cuz we dont like them, or they are bad, or to get even. Only in self defense, and in war, when God calls. You read what these muslims believe in their holy book, and you know, we have to stand for our rights or we will ALL be forced to believe as they do or be killed. Even athiests need be concerned. Will you worship a god just cuz death comes if you dont. ?? much to think about. Its not just a threat to our lives, its a threat to our free worship of GOD, tht God will allow us to self defend.
and no, we arent all continued to sin. God says to be like Jesus, and He wouldnt ask it if it werent possible. We cant do it on our own, but with Him in control, we will. If we dont even try, we will never get there, the devils lies......... Grace does not cover deliberate, willful sin. God says obedience leads to blessing, and disobediences leads to curse, and that all sin leads to death.
So how ppl can make that read in a differnt way that gives them all warm fuzzies is beyond those of us that truly study and know Gods word. and remembeer < God doesnt send anyone to hell. Ppl chose that for self by refusing to follow Jesus. He is the only way....
God bless you and may you press on with Jesus. This is a pretty sinful world, a dark place. But, with God, we can be free from sin, and live a life unlike the rest of the world. Just obey.....

"I have bought you milk and cookies as a sign of good-will, if you want me to eat them for you give me no sign"

i think its kind of a double standard to say you cannot kill. then saying later that you can justify killing within the bible.
