Audio/Video output otherwise know as RCA Jack outputs (usually three colours red/white for stereo sound and yellow for video). Your DVD player should have this type of output, however if your TV does not have a matching input, then you'll need to connect the DVD player into a VCR and connect the VCR into the TV. Another option is to connect the DVD player into an RF Modulator (about $40 at RadioShack) and connect that to your cable input on the TV.

It depeods whre what is,

On the DVD player - possibly, but
On the TV, you'll need an A/V input.
however, most TVs have one of those (an A/V input.)
