You may think it's a great way to get back at the ex- but it's not. You don't need this. For one thing, you have just broken up. You are not ready for a serious relationship. And if you liked this best friend for 2 years, there is the possibility you and him could have something very serious and strong develop. If you like him and want him, oddly the thing you should do is not date him immediately- give it quite a bit of time. You will do him a favor and not put him in an awkward situation with his friend (your ex) and you will deal with your own issues of breaking up so you won't hurt this guy you like.
If something is worth having, you will find a way to make it happen, but don't date him to get back at the ex. Make sure you do it because you want to really see this guy and make it friendly.

You need time to recover from the hurt of being dumped, can't just jump into another relationship! Besides, revenge is not a good reason to date someone, if you want a meaningful relationship. Give it some time. If the second guy was really a gentleman he wouldn't move so fast, sounds like he may be doing it to spite your ex. If you liked his best friend why were you dating him anyway??

Well if you still like your ex and wants to make him jealouse. Go wild with his best friend and act VERY happy infront of your ex. Then he will wish that he never broke up with you. Or if you like his best friend say yes you have nothing to loose besides your ex might go cocoo but guys should learn the hard way, he left you so he must suffer the consequences.

if it werent for ur ex u would have jumped at the chance so go for it maybe ring uo your ex and tell him whats happening and be honest so he finds out from you and not someone else and then have fun. you only life once and how long should you act like a nun just because he dumped you

You need to have the guy that asked you out make sure that it is not going to affect his friendship with your ex. It isn't your responsibility to get approval, especially since your ex dumped YOU!!! Life is to short for games and trivial jealousy. Good luck...

Well I honestly wouldn't go out with the bf for a while at least. You are on the rebound and going out with him to get back at your ex bf wouldn't be fair. Does your ex know that his bf asked you out and is he ok with that? I don't know if you were intimate with your ex but ifyou were do you think your ex's bf is asking you out for other reasons? If you really do like the bf then wait a while and then go out with him. Good luck!

i think if you like his friend try it i mean after all u and ur ex arent dating ne more but dont do it just to get back at him do it because u really like the other guy if u do it cuz u wanna get back at ur ex then some one will get hurt it happens every time

youd totally ruin their friendship, which would just make you a huge *** jerk..
HOWEVER...if you were to talk to the bestfriend and together think of a way to find out if its okay with your ex...then go for it.
