milk used to go bad in a few days why does it last soo long now i do not see any persevatives listed

the milk is well pasteurized these days and it sits in the refrigerator for days right...that makes it last longer!

milk still does not last long thats why they have an expiration date on it

refrigerating it makes it like that.
they didn't have refrigeraters in the old days, that's why they have to drink it or throw it away if they don't finish it.
