Make sure your hair is 100% dry before straightening. Especially underneath, and in the back. If your hair has any moisture in it, the dry layers will soak it up and frizz/curl. If fly-aways are a problem, rub lotion into your hands like you normally would. When your hands have soaked it in, run your hands over your hair. Be sure not to have too much or it will look greasy.

If you are super concerned then, try a palm ad(you know that thick cream that comes in a variety of little tubes). Take a small amount into your finger tips and rub them together, this will warm up the product and allow it to be applied smoothly. If you don't have any palm ad then ask a band member or a friend if the have some you can use.

P.S. Hairspray wouldn't help you anyways unless is had a humidity resistance agent in it! Good Luck

Try blow drying with a comb pulling hair straight down and keep pulling it down until dry. Then take your straightener and keep going over it pulling straight down. Do not use any hair spray. Also try rinse hair with cool water, not hot. Keep going over hair with straightener until you get ready to walk out the door. GOOD LUCK

Just straighten it as late as you can and make sure to keep it dry!
