I knew this guy right after high school, and we ran in all the same circles. He says we "hooked up" during a party once, but I barely remember (party days), but we never dated after that. We had and still have many mutual aquantances and freinds. I haven't talked to him in 13 years, and he randomly instant messaged me and we figured out who eachother were. We're now both divorced and single parents, and have had a great time re-connecting. Its almost like we're old friends who never stopped keeping in touch. I have never fallen this fast for someone, and especially only talking to them on the phone, is that possible? Only problems is that he lives 12 hours away, but has considered moving back to our home town. Another thing is that I've put on about 25 pounds after my pregnancy, and am afraid to see him because I don't look the same. Should I meet up with him?

Okay, I doubt that HE looks the same. It has been 13 years. Forget about the weight gain, I doubt he will notice. Second off, sometimes relationships like this are the best things.

"Anything is possible if your young at heart'. After 13 years both of you have matured. I think if people can fall in love over the computer, why not the phone. You are sharing personal stories and emotions are involved.
My only suggestion is to meet him for coffee first.
That way you can spend sometime talking and getting to know each other without temptation.
Loneliness and desire can be a killer...I wish I had followed my own advice

I don't see a problem with your meeting up with him again; and he;s probably experienced some physical changes too. What I'd be concerned about at this point is the fact that you say you've 'fallen in love' already. That's unlikely. It sounds like you're enjoying the phone conversations, that you have alot in common, and that he makes you feel good.....but love?!! So, no I don't think it's possible you've fallen in love. Maybe you're lonely & vulnerable (based on your description of yourself and your insecurity about your weight gain)....so I suggest that you take things slowly. What's the rush anyway? Good Luck

Yes, its possible! with love, nothing is impossible. You should go for it because if he seems to really respond to you over the phone then weight won't matter as much as personality. He may be shocked that you gained some weight, but lets face it, you pulled off the ultimate miracle of birth; I'd like to see him try that! You shouldn't feel bad because you gained weight, its a fact of life and I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't look exactly the same as he did in high school.

Go for it. If it works great, if not then you aren't any worse off for having tried.
It is quite possible for this to work out quite well.
Have fun and good luck!
(I am sure he has changed in appearance too.--A lot of people gain a little weight as they get a bit older--he knows you had a baby. Only an idiot would know realize that pregnancy means you gain weight.)

Yes, I would say meet up with him again and have a good time. However, You're both divorced and loneliness can make you both vulnerable to mistakes. Get to know each other again, and time will tell if you are compatible for each other.

SURE MEET HIM. AFTER ALL OF THE YEARS NEITHER OF YOU WILL LOOK THE SAME. JUST BE FRIENDS AND SEE WHERE IT TAKES YOU. THIS MIGHT OR MIGHT NOT BE THE REAL THING. GOOD LUCK.
