I Like Vodka but it seems to make me rather argumentative and depressed.?

I think it's time to change, can anyone recommend a spirit that doesn't have this effect. I had considered bacardi? One thing to be said for Vodka is that it's largely hangover proof! Any suggestions with Xmas approaching?

Vodka started to do the same to me the older i got, and it was my first drink in high school and for the party years after that, i thought i was immune but was not.

I moved to jack and coke, brandy, but i mostly drink Malibu now, no hangovers, feeling depressed, i wake up with a buzz of energy!!

you do realize that alcohol is a DEPRESSANT don't you?

There is no 'hangover proof' booze. Some have worse headaches then others because of the 'additives'. For example red wine will give a worse hangover (usually) then white because of the tannic acid from the peels that created the red color and flavoring. Taking an asprin before you go to sleep may help offset it a bit for some. If you pass out all bets are off.

Bacardi will still give you the same effects as vodka just as soon as you reach the same alcohol level in your bloodstream.

Bottom line, dude, drink responsibly and keep your friends.

It's funny isn't it, i find vodka (& tequila) make me a diferent drunk.. Things always seem to go bad, or i act like a fool, well more than normal. I try to avoid them now.. I know people that find the same thing with rum (bundaberg particularly), but it's always a good drunk with me.

I think you'll just have to experiment, i prefer rum (bacardi or bundy), but scotch or bourban are also good.. Maybe even diferent brands of vodka might help..

Good luck on your quest (i'm sure it'll be a real hassle trying all these drinks)..

I love vodka also I drink mine with red bull. I usually stay pretty calm when its mixed with that. Vodka use to make me mean but not so anymore. Another good drink would be crown and cherry coke.

You are probably mildly allergic to something in the Vodka. I have a friend who gets violent headaches whenever she drinks anything that has it. Her choice is to go with tequila, but that gives me headaches ... not hangovers, but headaches.

I, personally, don't have a problem with bourbon.

Barcardi LeMone mixed w/7up (sprite) w/a slice or two of lime on ice!! My favorite...very yummy!

I have heard that vodka does that to people turns them into Dr. Jekel and Mr. Hyde.

sorry to say but the culprit of beheavor is not the kind of alcohol but YOUR reactions! i' stop drinking altogether if i were you.why don't you contacta a..a. so they can tell you more about this.
do not feel insulted and i hope you give this advise somethough.
