When I talk to my kitten she listens.. and understands.. One day I found her in the kitchen sink, unable to figure out how she got there.. I then said "bad girl! how did you do that!?"... She then preceded to show me how she got up there and sat in the sink looking at me.. Then today, I was leaving my apartment and I asked her "where's your sister? (meaning my other kitten)".. and she turned behind her and looked around... and then looked back at me.. THEN.. I said "go find her"... and she then took off into the bedroom and jumped on my bed and sat down beside my other kitten and looked at me.. Is my cat person? :).. She's only 10 weeks old.

LOL! Cats are very smart! My cat "talks" back to me when I talk to her. My husband gets mad because she won't talk to him. She and I can have entire conversations - me asking her questions "What did you do today?" etc and she will meow back at me like she really is talking.

I never use to be a "cat" person until I owned one and found out how unique and what personalities they really have!

Well, there are all kinds of mysteries in the universe. Why couldn't a cat understand human language? Maybe she's especially tuned into you or something.

I think my cats completely understand me, but they choose to ignore everything I say. They look at me like I'm an insane lower life form, turn and walk away. Unless they want something... then they pay attention to me!

Enjoy your cats!

Cats are very smart and cunning. I have had cats all my life and they still amaze me me with what they do at times. My cat just knows when "mom" is having a bad day and she will not leave my side. Our other cats know my hub has the cat treats and they do "tricks" to try to get extra treats.

no your cat is not a human. it could be a conicidence or even though it sounds crazy you have some kind of telepathic conection to your cat, or the cat can que in to your emotions and stuff to know what your feeling, so whn you asked the cat how she got in the sink she couldh ave picked up on your confusion and amazement at her in the sink and when you asked her where you sister was she could have pciked up on your thoughts of the other cat and ran to her. with my dogs, I walk them offleash but they never wander, all I have to do is think of the direction I'll be goingin and they follow

Yes, your cat is a tortured soul that was killed by a vengeful spirit. I you'll have to hire an exorcist to release it and with luck you'll get so see the actual soul and talk to it.

Cats contain the souls of people who have died. Your kitty may have Einstien's soul and brain. Kill it and have the brain studied.

That's great! Children understand what you are saying before they can talk. Now if she begins talking to you that will be extraordinary.
