When my parents named me and my sisters, one of their considerations was how the name would sound to the neighborhood when hollered off the back porch! Needless to say, they were laughingly accused of hollering Scripture to the neighborhood as my sisters and I all have Biblical names. They're also family heritage names, so everyone was fairly happy.
Lots of people have unusual names. If they can't stand the name their parents stuck on their birth certificate, they go to a judge and get it changed legally when they're old enough, or just go by their initials.
However, when you name your child, don't just think of YOUR concerns. You may enjoy the name you've chosen, but you may be seriously damaging your child's psyche by making him/her stand out from the crowd so much. A little difference is ok and good.... but that much difference panders to the parent's politics, lifestyle and choices.
Throughout history, a person's name was intended to signify something important about him/her. Often a name was prophetic about that child's life.
But more important nowadays is how your child will have to cope with a strange label like Laser Killjoy Sacagawea. He or she will be horribly teased. Kids are cruel. Listen to Johnny Cash's "A Boy Named Sue". Think about your child's best interests, not your own when you name your baby.

I think I get what ohhhdear is trying to say. Essentially, if you do give your child this name, your kid is eventually going to find you in an old saloon on a mud street and attempt to murder you. You'd better be good at kicking like a mule and biting like a crocodile... and cutting off peoples' ears.

Well my coke covered marsupial friend.... I think what you really need to think of is not how the name will affect the child or whether or not you enjoy the name. The only factor that really matters is how badly it will piss off your wife/girlfriend/tramp you accidentally got pregnant. Your ultimate goal is to get her to leave you so you don't have to put up with her or that screaming lump of flesh (a.k.a. "a baby").

Sounds to me like- I hope- you are joking. I'm not into naming kids pan?gender. I believe there shoudbe a difference between women and men. One day that child will be either. Unless, of course you don't mind them becoming whatever they want gender-wise...inculding both.

I think the first thing you have to think of when naming a child is what is your child going to do in school when kids are beating him up and making fun of him because of his name......
You really wouldn't want your kid to go through that now would you? All that pain and humiliation?
Please..... love your child.... don't name him that....

I agree with riddlenet: either male or female. Please! no Karl-Maria(von Weber) or Jesus-Maria whatevers. As to your choice: do you hate kids that much?
