Hasaah is right. I've done them all, and the Silent Auctions are the biggest bucks. Partner with a Spaghetti Dinner (all donated food, of course) and WINE if you are able. The booze REALLY ups the proceeds--people bid more. And during the auction, do fun things, like hourly 50-50. Cash games like a mini Deal or No Deal. Pass the hat for the heck of it. All about the cash. Before dinner, if it's a buffet, auction off first in line, etc! Fun Fun!

Have a roast cheshnut celebration, that is elementary purely purchase a extensive bag of cheshnuts and cook dinner them interior the oven in case you do not have a chiminea or something silmilar to cook dinner them on exterior. approximately 8 cheshnuts consistent with guy or woman with a drink for about £2 consistent with guy or woman. We had one in November and it went down so properly saved it going all day and raised properly over £3000 for an orphange. human beings have been identifying to purchase 2,3 even 4 plenty. have been given the cheshnuts donated, elementary to do and super relaxing. Cooked them exterior on a Chiminea. No-one ever does roast cheshnuts presently so it became right into a singular concept served with a tumbler of port based wine. wish this facilitates.

How about a "Rent A Husband" auction?
The signs alone should bring people to it. Hand out pamphlets that explain the husbands will be rented for so many hours to do chores around the house for you, accompany you to dinner if you like, take you shopping, etc. - ALL WITHOUT MAKING EXCUSES OR COMPLAINING!!!
I think it would be fun!

Bingo is always fun and most anyone can play, instead of giving out cash as prizes, you can give out gifts or gift certificates that local business' have donated.

Homemade candles and soaps...I did this one year and it was a great success....you can personalize both...with sea shells, flowers...beads...marbles... baby items..use your imagination..of course if you use this for the soap...(which I did) they will only be decorative...but the materials are fairly inexpensive and if you have some free help, you can make a good profit...
