If you mean the dog itself or everything it needs. You can find that people do give pets away to good homes in the classified section of the newspaper. Of course you want to make sure it is the right dog for you so know whether you want a big/small, non-pedigree/pedigree(each breed has different health issues), active/nonactive, inside/outside, puppy/adult, protective/easygoing, etc. Other than free, check out the Humane Society that has many wonderful dogs that need new homes. The cost will be more as you pay for the dog (about $75) plus any shots it may need and spaying/neutering before you can take it home. (prices are different for all, depending where you live). Find out about the dog also, how it was treated and lived. Then you need good dog food, toys, etc. and of course figure in the costs of vet visits each year. We have one dog from the Humane Society and she is a sweetheart. Good luck and I hope you find one or one finds you.

What do you mean by a "used" dog? If you mean an older dog, your can find lots of them at your local pound or shelter. Prices vary depending on whether you go to a private shelter or the Humane Society. , but I adopted an 8 week old Aussie mix from the Humane Society for $95. Hope this helps.

a used dog? it's a living thing. its not like a car or something.

older dogs are sometimes cheaper, but the cost of s pet depends on alot of things like breed, pedigree, age, sex, coloring, etc.

The pound paid me to take mine. Sometimes I know why. She was $40, but they sent me a check for $50 when I had her spayed.
