I thought my cat was a female until I saw it back up to a truck and try to spray the tires. There are no testicles, was he neutered?

LOL! It is hard sometimes for a tech or vet to tell with a cat what is going on!

Anyway, although I have seen females exhibit that type of behavior too on occasion, you may be right that you have a male. Neutered males will continue to mimic spraying behavior but not usually actually spray. Is that what he did?

A vet will tell you for sure what you have, and can check for an incision indicating the cat was neutered or spayed (a non-neutered male can have non-descended testicles and it won't be obvious they are there to an untrained person). If he/she wasn't neutered or spayed get it done.

If there are no testicles, he was neutered. It could be a female though as well, they do wierd things sometimes. See if it has a female place if you know what I mean. If not then its a boy with no balls.

Yes. If the cat was standing, shaking his tail like he was spraying, he is definitely a male. If look closely, you should see two small round area, covered with fur where they used to be. I hope your cat has a unisex name!

Just because it's female doesn't mean it doesn't spray.

Take her to a vet. Not only will they answer your question, they can give her all of the shots she needs and also check to see if she has any health problems you need to know about (since you obviously have never taken her to a vet before).

Oh, and if she HASN'T been fixed, they'll do that too.

It is a difficult to question to answer..because I don't usually spread cats legs to see how its reproductive organs look like. I would suggest you to take it to the vet.
