my boyfriend has curly hair, he doesnt like it that much so he straightens it...is that odd? and now he just go a haircut and im sorry to say, looks BAD how do i tell him without hurting him? cuz he could just not straighten it and it would probably look better than it is now...short and straightened

Mention to him that you think his curly hair is hot, just don't tell him that you hate the new cut. That will hurt his feelings. If that doesn't work then it's Christmas time so buy him a hat that you know he would wear.

My husband has curly hair and he used to get it straightened because he didn't like dealing with the curls, not to mention he never uses product for them so they're a bit out of control. It's not strange.
Ask him who cut his hair because it's a different cut this time and you're not sure how you feel about it. That's what I always say to my husband when his mom (hairdresser) cuts it and he agrees with me. It'll probably take a month or two for his hair to get back to normal length, so in the meantime...It's just about Winter...buy him a nice hat in his favorite color, if he doesn't already have one. Because there isn't much you can do with short, straightened hair unless you cut it shorter so it's a buzz cut. My husband also had a buzz cut and it didn't look weird, and the transition from the buzz cut to growing out his curls was fine too...no odd in-between hairlength.

Tell him he's perfect the way he is and that he should stop straightening it because you like it better curly. Don't tell him you hate it b/c that will really hurt his feelings b/c he's trying to look good for you.

Curly hair is associated with a feminine trait. Manly men usually do not like curly hair. They tend to cut it short because that is more acceptable as manly trait. Love him for him. Hair is just a detail. If he feels better about himself that way accept it. Do not offend him by criticizing his appearance, that would be harmful to his ego. If he is happy with his haircut and appearance, he will feel better about himself. That should be the priority with you. If he feels good support him. Many other women would love and accept him that way. Be careful you do not loose him over foolishness.

why dont you just tell him "hey babe I like your hair curly and I think it will look better curly with your new hair cut" see if he takes your advice. If not then just drop it, it'll grow back.
