I have observed the same thing growing up.
Now that I think about it, it could have to do with the fact that
over weight people really do not care what others think of them as much as thinner people. Thinner people usually have a tendency to take care of themselves (diet, exercise).
In that respect thinner woman are more timid and careful, while overweight woman, really are bold and more aggressive because they could care less what others think.
(For those I have offended this is not the case 100% of the time just saying)

Thin girls are nice to look at but that's about it. I like a little chub personally. Not fat just a little meat.

maybe your really ugly and the thin girls don't want you or maybe your just an asshole and think that if a girl isn't a double zero she is fat.
