need help what should i do,?

i cut my hand whene i was cooking i hade to go to the emergency room, they treated the cut , they statch the cut with seven stetches, and they took ex for my hand, and that is all, month after i got the bill for only the emergency room, the supply they used and the statches, i have to pay $1,847 american dollar and i do nt have medicare or even a insurance to pay it. does anybody know an agency they can help me with the bill, or went through the same experiance please help,

Call the billing office listed on your bill. As long as you send a payment each month, they are usually willing to work with you. I have family members with tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills and they send as little as $5 a month. As long as you are sending something, they cannot come after you or your credit.

my advice is to pay it out slowly. as much as you can afford. they will turn you over to a collection agency if you pay nothing. but if you even pay ten dollars a month... it is better than nothing. medical care is really expensive and i am sorry for what you had to go thru. keep your chin up, but do pay the bill because if you don't it will look bad on your credit report.

i had doctor bills out the butt from having a baby with out ins. I found some hospitals have a charity-like thing. We applied for it and they wiped our bill out. But they also give like 50% off acording to your annual income. Helped us out majorly...twice. call the hospital.

I don't know what state you are in, but I'm pretty sure that even if you pay 5.00 a month, there is nothing they can do to you. They can threaten all they want, but as long as you are trying there isn't much they can do. Welcome to America.
