Because there is war.
There are people being killed right now because of a religion; Islam.
Those that are in power in Muslim countries are wanting the abolishment of Israel. As long as they hold those ideas, and act upon them, we will have our differences.
Israel is a friend of the USA and Muslim countries are trying to dissuade that. The relationship between the USA and the country of Israel is important, and the Muslim countries are constantly attempting to drive a wedge between us, and we resent that.
So the evil appears in act and in word of every attack upon American troops and every suicide bomber. (Not to mention the attempts to destroy and cause fear in the USA and ANY other country.
We feel like we were also attacked when Britain was, for instance. It might as well have been our train.
So Islam does nothing about it's public image, being poor in intent and in the communication thereof. When the president of Iran speaks, we see Hitler. And he seems like Hitler attempting to spread propaganda before he attacks Poland, as an analogy.
So as long as Muslims continue to defend radical Islam, and continue to attack those that speak out against it, the 'peaceful Muslims' will remain is suspect to their radical brothers cause.
Then there is the Bible. God said to Hagar, " every man's hand will be against him, and his hand against every man" in Genesis regarding Ishmael. It was prophecied. Simple as that. God's word is true, and I will continue to believe it.

Because Muslims do not believe that Christ came to save humans from themselves (evil things we do) and be the bridge to heaven, which is where God wants us after we die on earth. We are imperfect, God is perfect, and Jesus is the bridge. Jesus died on a cross and was raised into heaven in 3 days; he reappeared to his disciples after he "died" which makes Him God. He also performed miracles which are documented in the Christian bible. (Healing the sick, turning water to wine, walking on the water, casting out demons, raising Lazarus from the dead, etc.)
Muslims rely on the word of one man, Muhammed, and use his teachings to replace those of Jesus, who is part man and part God.
The two are incompatible.

Islam denies that which is central to Christianity, that being the Divinity of Jesus Christ, also His death and Resurrection. They claim to believe the Bible yet denies the very teachings of Jesus. I will never accept a religion that rejects Jesus and lowers him to a mere mortal prophet.
