Having been born slaves of sin along with sins wages of death we had no way out on our own, we could not even desire the righteousness or ways of God. We are born doomed to a life of miserable servitude to a cruel master and then the wages of our sin eternal punishment. Mind you not the separation of God but separation from all His mercy, love goodness, grace, and patience. It is to be eternally under His just wrath and punishment. It is this entire life of death and misery now and for eternity that we are saved from if we are united to Christ by faith. Saved from sin means all the death and misery associated with it including Gods justice.
We are even saved from ourselves being so corrupt we only desire that which is nothing more than broken cisterns and vanity. Oh the grace of God in Christ!

Saved from the consequence of my sin. Do you know anything about what God calls the second death? Eternal separation from anything of God. It's described as a Lake of Fire in Scripture. It's this second death that I shall never suffer because of Christ and His work for me on Calvary's cross... Jim

Come on!
90% of the people involved in organized religion are probably only doing so because it's what everybody else is doing. It certainly isn't out of rationality or actual experience. Sure, you can probably justify it with BS, but usually you're just giving credit to something else for your own achievements.
Way to go. Even if your religion is the "real one" out of the other 6,000,005 that have existed since the dawn of humanity, you're most likely only doing it out of fear, or out of conformity.
*sigh* This is what happens when the lord created Soccer Moms...

Death -- eternal death, destruction of body and soul (Matthew 10:28). And this is brought about by our sins (Ezekiel 18:20).

From sin - from self - from death - not physical death but spiritual death - in Hell. We have Heaven here on earth and in the hereafter. Praise God.

good question.
i find it hilarious that christians say theyre saved from sin. considering they do the most "sin" out of al lthe people .and by sin i mean "immoral" acts. look at Ted Haggard. compare Haggard to Dawkins (Richard). who is more morale? Dawkins of course.
especually due to recent events. hahahaha!
what are you christians (claiming to be) saved from? im going to agree with the person who said Logic.
you are 100% saved from logic. and by that i mean DEVOID of it.
