Getting into therapy can be very overwhelming. When I finally started treatment, I feel like it got worse before it got better. We started unearthing all sorts of stuff that I had ignoring for years. It was a really ugly process, but I felt a lot better after.
You should feel comfortable being 100% honest with every detail about your life to your psychologist. If not, go see another one. There are plenty, and your psychologist can probably help you find a new one. He/she will not take offense to this. It is their JOB to make you feel better, and if they can't help, they will send you in the direction of someone who can, maybe someone closer to your age or of the same sex, etc.
Also, you may want to look into anti-depressants if you aren't already on them. You should continue therapy, but it will help elevate your mood during the grueling process.
Take care of yourself! Good luck!

I know how you feel. I'm also a college student dealing with depression. I also have anxiety panic disorder, horrible combo. I tried a psychologist but they made me feel worse than before. I've also tried many different meds, but they gave me horrible headaches. You didn't mention if you have ever tried any, if you haven't there may be one that would help, I just haven't been able to find one that works yet. My boyfriend also suffers from depression as well as bipolar disorder, so if you have any questions about what the benefits, as well as the drawbacks are of meds for depression(he has tried more than you can imagine) feel free to e-mail me. But I really think the first thing you need to do is find a new psychologist. I hope you find something that works, as I said before feel free to e-mail me. Oh yeah, forgot to mention, my grades are suffering as well, so if you find any thing that can help, please let me know. I'm tired of trying so hard in school and still struggling.

I think that the best possible thing that you could do in your situation is tell everything that you have on your mind to your psychologist. This is what they do! When I was younger I was in the same situation as you, and I kept my feelings from a physiologist that my parents sent me to. Instaid of using the opportunity to talk and help myself, I kept things from her, and pretended to get better, but really got worse. I ended up in a really bad way throughout my childhood and young adult life. Eventually I went to a physiologist again (my idea this time) and really expressed everything to them, and I actually learned a lot about myself, why I felt the way I did, and got some great insight on how to get better. Please, for yourself and your family, don't be shy in front of a psychologist and let them help you!

If you feel its tough to comunicate with your psychologist, copy and print what you just wrote and bring it to your next session, or mail it to your psychologist. Obviously he/she is not seeing a side of you that they need to in order to give you the help you need. If it doesnt work then change your psychologist or start seeing a psychiatrist and try some meds, it may make a big difference. Good luck.

it sounds to me like you are a bit down. it happens to everyone. i would say that you should tell your psych how you are feeling. i mean, that's why you there in the first place. you also have to be honest with yourself and try to realise why you are feeling the way that you are feeling. what is making you so sad? love, we all feel like failure's at some or other point in our lives, but you must remember that we are all here for a reason and im sure you mean alot to your family and friends. don't you have a friend that you can talk to? i know how you feel, i have also felt that way. you are more than welcome to email me if you want to try and explain what is making you so sad. there is always a solution. you must try and be as positive as you can be. always remember that somewhere in the world is a story more troublesome than yours. hope you will find true happiness and that you realise that you are special.

Depression is a serious condition. Have you considered talking to a doctor about your feelings. They may be able to give you some medication to help you with the blues. A very close person to me went through a serious depression and the medication seemed to help. It sounds like you are close to your family....let them in on your feelings. They are the people who love you the most and can help you to overcome this. I'm sure you are not a failure...it sounds like you are nice and loving person.

If you do not feel like you are making progress, perhaps your therapist is not a good fit for you. I know you are feeling down, but take comfort in that nothing is permanent. You won't always feel this way. Do consider finding someone who is better suited to help with your individual needs.

Chill out....seems like an evil force is trying to take all your powers. Dont let it.
Your best bet is to love yourself and read the holy bible will help u alot. Every time u feel like this , repeat a good bible verse in your head and this evil force will immediately go away.
U dont need a psychologist at all , all u need is prayer and mind over matter.
Remember to LOVE YOURSELF....

"That one girl", you are so loved by God. He created you for Himself. He wants you to live for Him and shine forth His glory for all to see. You are His great and wonderful workmanship. Don't let the world or Satan tell you any different. God Loves You very much ! He created you in His image. He wants you to spend eternity with Him. He has promised to never leave you or forsake you. -Hebrews 13:5-
Read His word, believe it and live every minute of your life knowing He has a plan and purpose for you to fulfill!
Claim this verse, memorize it and live in its victory!

I think instead of a psychologist. You should get a teacher to teach you the better methods of studying so that you will have better grades, better grades would mean you will have more confidence for yourself.
