Many xians say that the children that were slaughtered in Sodom, Egypt (10th plague), Jericho, etc... were going to be bad their entire lives so god was justified in killing them. Is there any real difference between god killing a baby and "allowing" a baby to die? God is omnipotent and omniscient. It doesn't take any effort for him to be aware of every single atom in the universe.
For example, assume I'm on a platform with 100 babies next to a shark tank. I pick up 20 babies and throw them in to make a point to the onlookers below that they'd better listen to me. Then I sit there and watch as 20 more babies crawl slowly over to the edge and tumble into the tank. And I weep a tear for the bad decisions they made. Does that make sense to anyone?

If babies aren't responsible, why did god slaughter so many thousands or millions of them?

I know it makes no sense, but people who believe in god have to reconcile the "fact" that he is omnipotent. If is right there with that baby and can prevent that baby's death yet chooses no to, I say he's repsonsible. If I sit and watch a child walk up to an exposed wire that is right next to me and I watch that child slowly stick the wire in their mouth and bite down on it, am I not to blame for that child's death?
