I'm confused as to if I should try to save this friendship or should I just end it. We have had sex a few times over the course of about 6 months. I'm not sure that we can ever really go back to being platonic. He knows how I feel and doesn't want sex to interfere with our friendship, but I know that deep down he's hoping that we will continue to mess around. The sexual attraction that we have for one another is so strong that I'm sure our friendship won't work. At this point I think that we should become serious or just go our seperate ways. Am I right?

You are absolutely right. Friends with benefits just causes trouble.

I think that this relationjship is unsalvagable because he is a guy. It might work if the roles were reversed. Once you give a guy a piece you can't just stop it. There is always this little thing in the back of their head that tells them they've always got a shot with you. It's unfortaunate but it's true. I am a guy. I know.

You can try to tell him how you feel and give it a shot but more than likely it will go in one ear and out the other.

Some years ago, a female friend of mine wanted to fool around with me.
Surprisingly, I told her that I valued her friendship more because in the back of my mind I knew our relationship would suffer if we had sex together.
I told her as her friend, I really wasn't interested in hearing about any guy she might be into, but we could be friends.
I'd known her when she was married, and was her friend during her divorce.
That, and she had 2 kids, and I've always had a rule not to get involved with single Moms.

~I think you guys should just take a break from one another, then get together and see if you can be just friends again. I can see how it would be hard to make a decision like that while you're still being sexual.~

if this is how you feel then you are right. Is there a reason why you haven't gotten serious yet?

Have more sex since it's already ruined.
