no. The foin will sparke and cause a fire in your microwave! As cool as that may sound, it might be better if you use a paper towel or napkins or paper plates to warm your food in. You knew that right??

Wow, you really got many bad answers. Write Reynold's Aluminum for its microwave cookbook. You should never completely surround an item in metal. Sometimes a pie or cake will cook on the outer edges, but not in the middle. In this case you can put it back in the microwave with foil covering the outside of the cake and leaving a hole in the center. The mass of the metal you put in the microwave should be less than the mass of the food left uncovered. Some microwaves come with metal racks so you can cook on two levels.

DO NOT PUT ANY THING METAL IN THE MICROWAVE!
You can not but anything metal in the microwave including aluminium foil! It will spark and could destroy your microwave and start a fire.

No foil in the microwave. Not even a tiny bit that might have stuck to your food and you didn't know. Trust me. I know from experience.

Its' very wise that you thought of asking that on here. Next time you have some questions as to whether or not to do something, follow your gut.
Now does anyone know if it's okay to put my tongue on a freezer wall? I had a fever and was wondering if this would work faster than medicine.

Rappers hate to be placed in the microwave. They generally will yell obscenities at you to the beat of some other person's song. However, it does occasionally rhyme.

Absolutely not! You cannot place any metal into a microwave as you will most likely destroy the magnetron which kills the oven.

No.....Please do not do this.....The aluminum foil will catch fire...aluminum foil, however, can go into a conventional oven.

Have a lovely rest of the day.
