Prayer is actually the best consultation you can get!

I mean if you think about it, why is the doctor's office called a 'practice'? Now, I'm not knocking doctors, they go to school and are trained in their perspective fields but they can't guarantee the outcome of your visit. Why is it that when they give you a prescription or steps to take they say "try this and let's *see* how this works, if it doesn't come back and we'll go from there", etc.? Because every body isn't the same, they don't know how it will effect you or how your body will react! Thus, they have malpractice insurance!

I would thank the doctor for truly having my best interest at heart! After all, wise men consult wise council and who better to turn to!

No
I would think the doctor was cool and, pray with him
(I would enjoy going to the doctor if he was willing to pray with me that shows that he looks to God for help and not just him self)

Who would be scared just because some one prayed?
Praying is not scary, praying is comforting

Not scared so much as... um.... sick to my stomach.

What if the doctor then gave you a prescription that said,

3 hail Marys twice a day and call me in a week

Amazing that in this day and age that there are still people out there who think invisible, imaginary characters are watching and influencing their lives. Fortunately, most doctors are not so deluded.

No. But, I wouldn't necessarily pray with the doctor either and might ask him to be more professional.

No, I've known a number of doctors who pray before performing surgery.

There's nothing offensive about a person sharing a religious moment with another person. Anyone scared at experiencing such is afraid of the unknown--that's their fault, no one elses.

I wouldn't be scared, but I'd point out that I was Wiccan, and depending on the look on his face I'd probably find myself another doctor.

No, I'd be finding a new doctor because obviously my current doctor is suffering from delusions.

Just a lot.

If you went into confession and the priest said "let's play doctor" would you be afraid?

No, not at all!!! I would be very grateful to have found a Doctor who acknowledges that They are not GOD, only GOD is GOD, and realizes that they need His guidance to be able to take care of your health issues in a proper way.
