I have a problem with dry skin on my face. First of all, I think it comes from havign to wash my face so much because I am prone to breakouts. The dryness is the worst around my nose and chin area. I scrub and scrub but I can never seem to get the dry skin off. So whenever I wear foundation you can see peeling really bad. I have to be careful what face lotion I use because of the breakouts. I am kind of Stuck between a rock and a hard place. Any answers will be much appreciated.

I have exactly the same problem. I usually use Nivea Soft Intensive moisturising cream which really softens up my skin, but if your still breaking out, try Clean and Clear dual action moisturiser. I tried that for a while, and it helped with the spots, but not the dryness, but might work for you. Another thing to try is tinted moisturiser rather than foundation. My dry skin on my nose and chin isn't as bad whenever I use that as it contains moisturisers and it isn't as heavy as most foundations so doesn't block my pores as much. Hope you find something that works for you anyway, as it is a total pest.

I have a problem with this especially in the winter time. I live in Indiana and believe me it is horrible here in the winter time. I have tried all types of lotions and potions very expensive and cheap and in between and the best thing I have found is a creme that a pharmacists came up with that is now available nationwide I believe. It has Aloe Vera and many other plant extracts in it to soothe and protect your skin. It only cost $4-5 dollars and at almost any drug store. It is not greasy or oily and is great under makeup. I can see a great improvment since I started using it on my face.
Then again every ones skin is different so it may not work on you. If you want to know let me know I'm not sure if I'm allowed to put the name on here or not.

Hope you find something.

I had this problem some years ago. My family doctor gave me some antibiotic which cleared away. I do not know the name but it begins with E and a long name. yellow look like smarties. I had to take it every day with out milk or any iron product.

For you skin you need to take some thing inside rather than apply on to your face. Once you feel better with the skin condition you can apply normal cream or lotion.
Do not use soap or scrub. use natural product.
take a potato grate it and ask someone to apply on to your face while you lie flat on your back. leave it for 15 minutes. then apply half a tomato and leave it for 10 minutes. do this every 2 weeks.
then mixture of same measurement of lime juice, glycerin and rose water. apply this every day. you will see the different.
but try and see your doctor first before the natural product.

Do not scrub too much. Scrubing is for oily skin. My skin was drying too because of scrubing and the cold weather. I put some dry skin lotion. Also use hypoallergenic pressed face powder. Do not wear foundation when you have break outs, the water and the powder will get absorbed in your skin it may irritate you.

Use Neutrogena Concentrated Lotion... It works great. My skin is naturally dry - real alligator skin I tell ya! Anyway, I use that everyday on my body right after a shower - no more flaky skin for me. You do have to wash your face good at night though just to clean your pores.

Definitely find a good facial moisturizer and use it daily. I like the Aveeno line of products. Also, try drinking lots of water. I usually notice my skin (forehead & chin) gets dry & flaky if I don't drink enough water. I also like using tinted moisturizers sometimes in place of foundation.

Hi,

Try Olay Beauty Fluid it is really light but intensive, it costs about £4.
On the driest areas try Evening Primrose Oil, in capsule form. Don't put too much on though because of the break-outs.

Dry skin always so irritating...I hate it so much...I suggest you try using Zenmed Derma Lotion from Zenmed or Autopalm from Skinstore.com.

Zenmed has no side effects and it's non-irritant to the skin. It's proven to works fast and it provides Maximum results! It's certainly a good lotion to prevent further outbreaks.

Another product that I think is effective is Atopalm. This dry skin mlm is one of the best seller at skinstore.com now. (Skinstore.com holds more than 10,000 skin care products) It's pretty effective, and worth the dollar paid out.
