guys are a dime a dozen. friends aren't. at least true friends aren't. So here's my advice-
1. ditch brian. he plays games and isn't worth it. you shouldn't have to chase after love.
2. let Paul and your best friend figure out their relationship themselves.
3. maybe you only started liking Paul because he wasn't available, or because your friend had him.
4. find a different person to have a relationship with and cherish the friendship you still have with both Paul and your girlfriend

Neither sounds like a good idea.
Don't go after Paul, because no matter what you do you'll end up hurting someone. If you really like him and he likes you, wait until HE breaks it off with your friend, and don't pressure him. Then bring up the subject with your friend. By the time she's over him, it'll be the right time to date him. That could take months or years. Realistically, he's off-limits to you. Sorry.
Brian doesn't sound great either. He's not interested in you...sorry. Most people usually don't change their minds about that - it's either there or it's not. Cut your losses and go after someone new! You never know who's been interested in you all along and is hoping you'll notice them...

Paul seems like the best choice. Brian probably is a waste of time. Tell your friend the truth. If Paul and you are meant to be then he needs to step up. He should break it off with your friend if he really likes you. Think about the situation some more. Maybe your friend will understand. If she doesn't then you probably weren't as close as you thought. On the otherhand think about what you want to do before you act. If your friendship is worth it maybe you should forget about Paul as more than a friend for now if you really don't want to loose your friend. Good luck with your decision!

I would wait to see if your VERY BEST friend and your best friend Paul break up, then go after him. But, in the meantime I'd find out why this Brian is ignoring you. Ask him straight out.

Since Paul is with your best friend you would be better off backing off that idea. If you don't like Brian enough to pursue anything with him, then let that go too. Wait for the right one to come along and pursue you.

well you should try things out with brian even though he ignored you its probably just cuz he is shy. paul seems like a better choice but your friend is way important here and you dont want to hurt her. so just try to see what up with brian but whatever you do dont act different around him cuz that will change things! just be yourself and he will eventually give in and realize your a great person!

If u don't want to hurt your friend than just don't do it.It's just weird when u date a friends ex and when u too still get along and talk to each other also.leave both of them alone. But than again is all game if he's not dateing your friend anymore at least find out why they split if it was his fault than he ant worth it.If it's hers than he wanted something better it might be u, since u said he likes u to.

It seems to me like you go after unavailable men.
Either they are emotionally unavailable or with someone else.
Stop going after both of them. It's not worth going after someone who does not feel the same way as you and it's not worth ruining a friendship over a relationship that may not last.
I wish you luck in your decision and hope that you choose wisely.

I think you should stick to Paul forget Brian. If Brian is not interested in you if he doesn't like you. Your friend will forgive you sooner or later so don't worry about that.
