Well, that's pretty much what happened with Satan. When God all the angels, Satan was actually an angel. But then Satan became so conceited and thought that he could do a better job than God and that he was God and was better than (the real) God. So God basically kicked Satan out of Heaven because He (God) was and is the one and only true God and while Satan does have a lot of power, God ultimately has even more power than Satan. When Satan was banned from Heaven, a third of the angels went with him.

Imagine

John Lennon

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

There is more than one God. She is called Goddess. She and God work in tandem to keep the universe balanced. It's a partnership, not a one-upmanship. There are many aspects of Goddess and God, but this is simply because an all-powerful creative force is too huge for our human brains to really wrap around, so they are broken down into lesser Gods/Goddesses to make it easier for us to communicate with that aspect we need assistance, guidance or blessings from.

You can actually see a good example of how chaotic things would be if there were more than one God if you read up on Greek mythology. It'd be just like a bunch of politicians trying to get their own way.

According to YHVH, there are other gods. First, he commands his people not to worship any other god but him. Second, he declares that he is a jealous god. Jealousy is the emotion whereby one seeks to prevent another from getting what the feeler of jealousy has. Who else could have taken YHVH's followers but another god?

There is more than one god, but only one SUPREME Deity. They all answer to him. Hey, why not have a few captains and lieutenants?

If you read the Gnostic texts, they believe that there were many heavenly beings, and the Judean God was actually an aborted reject god who was ugly and stupid. He screwed up so bad that they had to send Jesus to fix everything.

I feel that there are multiple deities. Perhaps since they are deities, they don't have the ego problems and selfish tendencies that we humans have......Perhaps they are capable of respect and cooperation....

So what? If there's more then one Deity, then there's more then one. As mere mortals you think we can do anything about it?
