And you're right. Problem is those half-wits wouldn't understand humour if it bit them on their ample a*rses.

I don't know who crispy is, but since you say "tongue in cheek" I'm guessing that they weren't questions, but jokes.

This site is supposed to be for questions and answers. The presence of a lot of other junk drvies away users who want to use the site for its intended purpose.

Has nothing to do with freedom of speech, as this is Yahoo's site; they can define it and enforce their definition, since everyone on the site agreed to abide by its guidelines when they signed up. Someone who persistently refuses can be banned.

Those who don't want to be on a question and answer site can go to the several other pages available on the web.

Technically, YA is a private forum since you have to create an account to participate. When you do so, you agree to follow the rules set out by the YA staff. They are the ones who decide whether or not the violations go through.

This isn't a case of freedom of speech; it's a case of following the rules.

(and who is crispy, anyway?)

every person has the right to free speech as long as the free speech does not go against the right of others free speech or violate the laws rules and mores of the Country in which one resides. no person has exclusive free will as the moment one comes in contact with another then the other person has certain rights limiting the rights of each individual to a certain extent

Wasn't me,I believe in free speech 100% without boundaries,if someone doesn't like it tough. If I had my way there wouldn't even be a way to kick off questions or answers,if they don't like it then it's still tough. But alot of people just can't take it,especially the Christians and the Muslims, neither one of them believe in free speech if it might question their beliefs. And there are a few other groups online who just can't take the heat, they're whiners, when they don't get their way or they're losing the argument they go crying to the censors like little 2 year olds,it's just who they are. They're weak and need the help that censorship provides them to protect their delicate feelings,or their inability to fight back when someone questions them.

I don't know who this "crispy" is, but I'll address the issue of free speech.

Free speech does not equate with the freedom to violate rules and/or guidelines set out by a online forum or community provider such as Yahoo.

There are limits to freedom of speech. I can not threaten the president, yell "FIRE!" in a crowded theater, commit slander or libel or defamation of character or speak obscenities in the presence of children without fear of being prosecuted for it. Freedom of speech does not mean you can say anything at all. And since when is YA "Americans"? Ever notice that it is WORLDWIDE???

Minimoto,
You must understand that Americans do allow freedom of speech and you must realize that we (I was born in the states American parents) also allow the freedom to speak up.
