If you have to stoop to that level to find out his feelings, I guess it doesn't really matter if it's ok or not. The whole relationship is wrong.

Don't read his email. Tell him that you suspect he has feelings for his ex and that you are feeling insecure. Tell him that your insecurity has you thinking stupid things like wanting to read his email behind his back. He'll probably get upset and change his email password (which he needs to for your own good) but if he really loves you, he will realize that your relationship is on the rocks (and it is) and the two of you can honestly and openly work towards making things better.

would it be okay for him to read your email if he had the password?
Also if you don't find anything today, will you look again tomorrow? and the next day? The issue isn't really if you should look, it is why do you feel you need to look. You have already decided you don't trust him - this is why you want to look. If you don't trust him why are you with him?
If you read his email and you get caught you best be ready to open up your email or it may cost you a boyfriend.

It's not okay but I do it. He knows I have his password but he doesn't know I check it. I'm just a very curious person! :-)
But I'm also a hypocrite. I would be mad if he was checking mine.
However, if he is exchanging e-mails with her about their "strong feelings" I would advise you to break it off and move on!

Hell yeah its ok. I mean I would feel like an *** if I found nothing like I usually do when I check my boyfriends phone once in awhile. But if you do find something then how can you even feel bad for doing it?? I suggest writing to his little ex lover pretending its him and find out exactly whats going on

I don't think it's okay, but your curiosity will get the better of you. Just be prepared in case you find something that you didn't want to find (i.e. emails between the two of them). And be prepared for a huge fight when he confront him, and have to tell him that you read his email in order to gather the information. Intruding on someones privacy is NOT a valid reason to pick a fight. Just keep that in mind.

I'm not one to say whether or not it's right. I snooped through my fiance's e-mail his journal, everything when we first got together. I found some things I wish I hadn't. Make sure your prepared for the worst. I found out my fiance had slept with a prostitute before he met me and once questioned his sexuality. It caused us some problems.

If he gave you his password, he must have nothing to hide. If you found it some other way, then stay out of his email. For one thing it's illegal and he's entitled to his privacy. You seem too insecure for a relationship anyway.

well if u really trust each other.. its ok to read each others mail or to have the right of doing so... but since ur trust is weak now, u wanna check his mail.. if he isnt contacting his ex, but finds out u were reading his mail.. it mite lead to major trust and relationship-breaking issues.. so beware... exercise caution.. good luck

It is wrong. Shows there is no trust in the relationship. Cause what if he wasn't doing anything at all. Then you would feel foolish. Just be honest, and ask him straight out. And bug him about it. You can usually tell if they are lying or not.

No it's not. Just a boyfriend? Nope. Fiance? Hmmmm, still not a good idea. Husband? Only if you really really feel somethings wrong, but it's still violating his privacy, wether hes up to something or not.
If you can't trust him, as you obviously can't, what are you doing still seeing him?
